There was something of a buzz amongst the Isle of Man's amateur dramatic circles. After all, it's not every day that the historic Gaiety Theatre plays host to a former Hollywood star such as Willard Fairfax.
 
Unfortunately, Mr Fairfax's fame is matched only by his ego.
 
As rehearsals get underway, his abrasive manner succeeds in rubbing cast members, theatre staff and just about everyone else up the wrong way. Before long, the production is brought to an abrupt and unexpected halt when an unthinkable incident sends shockwaves through the island and further afield.
 
With rumours swirling behind the scenes and tensions running high, private investigators Quinn Flitcroft and Toby Haddock must separate fact from fiction as they attempt to discover who has been following the script and who has been writing their own.
The final curtain may have fallen, but unless Quinn and Toby uncover the truth, the Gaiety Theatre could be about to receive an unwelcome encore.
